Puccini 100

World premiere performance

Directed by Raffaello Fusaro
Choreography by ResExtensa

We celebrate the centenary of Giacomo Puccini’s death with a new and exclusive production, in the full immersive style of Tones on the Stones, that embraces all the arts.

The complex soul of Puccini is narrated in a grand event, in which acting, opera singing, ground dance, aerial dance, and multimedia technologies evoke the feelings of timeless melodies.

ResExtensa, National Dance Production Center, is the first company in the world to have brought dance to the UNESCO site of Al Ula, in Saudi Arabia. An international excellence in ground-air dance, with a special mention at the Nastro d’Argento for the documentary and grand event “Cry for a New Renaissance,” returns to Tones Teatro Natura with a spectacular setup.

The direction is entrusted to Raffaello Fusaro, an author with a strong interdisciplinary predisposition. Raffaello combines, in his texts, theatrical and cinematic works, and live performances, classic literature, and contemporary imagery in a personal synthesis of languages and styles. He has collaborated with major names on the national scene, including Renzo Piano, Danilo Rea, Roberto Vecchioni, Piero Angela, Gabriele Salvatores, Rocco Papaleo, Alessandro Haber, Michele Placido, Alessandro Mannarino, Concita De Gregorio, Massimo Gramellini, Carlo Freccero, Paola Turci, Cristina Comencini, Niccolò Fabi, Laura Morante, Ennio Fantastichini.

In case of bad weather, the event is postponed to the following day.
